Plantain is an indispensable part of your herbal first-aid kit! It’s mucilaginous properties are so soothing and provide instant relief from insect bites/stings, poison ivy, hives and other skin irritations. Used internally, plantain’s effects are the same, providing relief from irritation to the stomach and intestinal lining. All parts of this plant are edible, however, larger, more mature leaves tend to be tough. Eat as a salad green, to make tea, salve, etc. Plantain self-seeds freely once established 🤍

Growing Instructions

Timing: Direct sow outdoors in late Fall or early Spring, once the soil is workable. Broadcast or sow seeds ,barely covered, in soil that is moist.
